The other is a subscription funnel selling trade recommendations at up to $2,995 a year, entered through a $1 thirty-day trial. Know which one you are buying. On the Rank itself, the criticism from r/ValueInvesting is consistent and specific: it is momentum-driven off estimate revisions, it can change almost daily, and there is no way to audit what it told you last month. A signal you cannot look back on is a signal you cannot evaluate. That is not a judgment about whether the model works. It is a statement about whether you can ever find out.
The Zacks Ultimate entry price is $1 for thirty days. It renews at $299 a month or $2,995 a year. That is roughly a 300x step-up and it is disclosed on Zacks' own page, so it is not a trick — but it is the single most expensive thing on this board and people sign up for it at a dollar. Note also that the individual trading services, including Insider Trader, Surprise Trader, Counterstrike and the rest, are sold separately and sit alongside Premium rather than inside it. Having Zacks Premium does not mean you get the trade alerts.

“The most annoying thing is you can’t track the changes on their ranks or do an objective look back on what they recommended. They make the ranking process sound very scientific and based on estimates they are updating very frequently. However when you dig into the analysis and detail you notice very few actual updates from Zack or Analysts.”

Build the look-back Zacks does not give you. Before you act on a Rank, export the list and date-stamp it in a sheet, then check it again in thirty and ninety days. Three months of your own records tells you more about whether the Rank works for your holding period than any marketing page will. It also converts a daily-changing number into something you can actually measure, which is the whole point of a system.
